Owner and Licensed Optician Cassie de Vries was born and raised in the City of Kawartha Lakes, and her caring and enthusiastic personality is felt by the clients of Eye Care Centre. 

    Cassie has been a registered Optician since 2008, and is passionate about fashion forward eyewear.  Cassie is also been recognized as a skilled contact lens fitter by the College of Opticians of Ontario. 

 Karyn is a Kawartha Lakes native who keeps the Eye Care Centre organized and operations working smoothly.

Karyn works closely with Dr. Jim Ng, booking appointments and directing client enquiries. 

If you're lucky, Karyn may also help you pick out a pair of frames!

Longtime former owner Rudy holds more than 50 years experience in the optical industry.  

Rudy is a highly skilled lab technician, eyeglass repair artist, and frame stylist. 

A dedicated businessman, automobile enthusiast, and wealth of knowledge and humour, you will see Rudy part-time at Eye Care Centre.

Dr. Jim as he is lovingly referred to by his patients completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Waterloo in honors science. He completed his Doctor of Optometry and his Bachelor of Science in Vision Sciences at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia.  

    Dr. Ng is the owner of Kawartha Lakes Optometry's two locations in Lindsay and Peterborough.
